Honor Your Pledge of Assenting to the Anti-Gay Bill– Association of Sabbath Churches
A group calling itself the Association of Sabbath churches has called on President John Dramani Mahama to remain steadfast in fulfilling his promise to pass the Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill into full law.

According to the President of the Association of Sabbath Churches, Apostle Dr. Samuel Mensah, President Mahama who expressed a clear commitment to assenting to the bill while in opposition, appears to be backtracking on his promise since assuming office.
Apostle Samuel Mensah, also known as Osomafo Mensah, in a press conference today in Accra, urged President Mahama to assent the Anti-LGBTQ bill with an immediate effect just as he did to the E-Lvy, betting tax among others.
The clergy's association questioned the President’s sudden shift and delays, especially given his strong advocacy for the bill during his campaign time and meetings with the clergy.
Apostle Dr. Samuel Mensah, who doubles as the founder and leader of Saviour Light In Jesus Ministry, urged the traditional rulers, the Islamic community and the public to join them and hold the president accountable to his earlier promise to assent to the Anti-LGBTQ bill.
