The Gold Fields Ghana Foundation's scholarship scheme, initiated in 2005, has made a significant impact on the lives of young people in the host communities of the Tarkwa and Damang mines. Over 2,700 students have benefited from the programme, with 469 currently pursuing their academic dreams with the Foundation's support. The Foundation's team has been visiting scholars in tertiary institutions across the country, including the Greater Accra, Central, and Western Regions. This year, the team will extend their visits to:
🔹 Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
🔹 Kumasi Technical University
🔹 Mac Partners Training Institute, Obuasi
🔹 University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani
🔹 University of Mines and Technology, Essikado campus
🔹 Takoradi Technical University

These visits are crucial in monitoring students' academic performance, well-being, and discipline and provide opportunities for the Foundation to engage with school authorities and explore ways to further support their scholars.
