TNMA Invest in Various Institutions in the Municipality

The interventions, funded entirely from the Assembly’s Internally Generated Funds, were officially handed over at a ceremony that brought together representatives of the Assembly, the Ghana Education and Health Services, traditional authorities, the clergy, heads of departments and other stakeholders.

Two pick-up vehicles and a tricycle were presented to the Assembly, while the Ghana Health Service received a range of medical supplies, including compressor nebulizers, delivery beds, Veronica buckets, stethoscopes, manual resuscitators, weighing scales and cover clothes, among others.The Tarkwa Nursing and Midwifery Training Centre also received office equipment and furniture, while 300 dual desks were handed over to the Ghana Education Service to support teaching and learning in schools across the municipality.

Adding to the list of interventions was the commissioning of a modern, fully furnished Assembly Hall and Conference Room.

The facility is expected to provide a conducive environment for Assembly meetings, conferences, workshops, public engagements and other official activities, while enhancing administrative operations.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, said the investments reflect the Assembly’s determination to turn locally generated resources into tangible development for the people.

He said prudent and efficient management of resources remains essential to strengthening public institutions and improving service delivery.

Hon. Cobbinah disclosed that the Assembly is not stopping there, revealing that other major infrastructure projects are being undertaken for various institutions across the municipality, also through Internally Generated Funds.

He noted that the right infrastructure and equipment can make a significant difference in the efficiency and productivity of public institutions.

The MCE therefore urged the beneficiary institutions to treat the items and facilities as public assets, take proper care of them and ensure they are put to the intended use.
