BASIC SCHOOL IN TARKWA EDUCATED MARKET WOMEN ABOUT BREAST CANCER.

There, they enlightened the traders on the causes of breast cancer and emphasized the significance of early detection and timely intervention. This initiative forms part of the annual breast cancer awareness campaign, held every October, aimed at increasing awareness of the disease.

During their educational outreach at the market, Kelvin Atta Boakye, the mathematics and science teacher at Lee's Kingdom Kids Montessori School, conversed with Space News about the motivations behind engaging with traders and the essential steps to improve early detection of breast cancer.

Some students from Lee's Kingdom Kids Montessori School recounted their visit to the market, where they educated their mothers and traders about breast cancer. Some mentioned advising their mothers against placing coins or money inside their bras and encouraged them to abstain from alcohol and smoking. They provided substantial education to the market traders.
