Tarkwa Municipal Health Directorate Appeals for Public Cooperation

She made the appeal at a half-year review meeting in Tarkwa, where the Municipal Health Directorate assessed its performance, achievements and challenges during the period under review.
According to her, non compliance by patients can affect a healthcare officer, which can result in poor service delivery. She advised that the cooperation of persons who visit healthcare facilities was essential to reducing the pressures on health workers and ensuring the smooth delivery of healthcare services.

She added that, outside the health facilities, it is equally important for residents to be cordial with healthcare workers in the community so as to help the them to have safe and sound environment and psychological support. 

Addressing concerns raised by public on some unprofessional behaviors by some healthcare providers, Madam Duah Morttey condemned as she appealed to religious leaders, community leaders and other stakeholders to make a concious effort in inculcating good behavior to all persons. According to Madam Duah Morttey, some inhuman behaviors from healthcare providers are as a result of the community they find themselves or lack of proper training from home.
